HOTEL UPDATES
Fiordland Lodge in Te Anau has had a devastating roof fire last weekend but thankfully there were no reported injuries to guests or staff. The full extent of the damage has not been made public, but as a result Fiordland Lodge will remain closed until further notice with bookings through until 31st October 2026 having been cancelled. We have been rebooking affected clients. This is disappointing news for this key Lodge during this busy inbound tourist season, given their strategic tourist location.
New Christchurch apartments. The George Hotel has a new addition in the form of 18 one-bedroom apartments built on an adjacent site on Kilmore Street Christchurch and branded as The Kilmore Collection. The Kilmore Collection offers contemporary design in a great location and is ideal for longer stay corporate travellers, but they’re also available for short stay leisure travellers. Guests can access the restaurant and bar in The George Hotel.
London bound clients are enjoying our recommendation of The Londoner hotel, located in a corner of Leicester Square. It has emerged as a brilliant and convenient location given the ‘tidying up’ that the City of London has done around the Square and Covent Garden area.
